Working on a team at CRSA, Mark Morris from VODA assisted Lewis Young Robertson & Burningham in crafting an economic development plan for the city of Lehi, along the I-15 Corridor. Driven by economic analysis, this strategic plan focused on economic opportunity along future transportation systems planned for the corridor.
Building on Mark’s experience with UTA’s FrontRunner North commuter rail system, nodes along the rail corridor were identified in Lehi, and smaller area plans were crafted to reflect desired land use and intensity.
Four small area plans were created, with recommendations for land use updates for increased economic development in the city. Meetings were held with city staff and elected officials, as well as with prime property owners along the corridor. Each area exhibited different assets and opportunities, and individualized plans were generated to reflect those differences.
