VODA worked with Wasatch Community Gardens and a local community group to develop a community garden on the west side of Salt Lake City's Gateway District.
Funded by a state grant, this community garden is adjacent to an active rail corridor and plans for future connections to a trail network under planning process by Salt Lake City.
Maximizing the land available, the Gateway Community Garden provides much needed community space for an urban population wanting fresh and local food for their household.
With phase one completed in 2018, future plans include expanding the garden space to accommodate nearly 100 gardeners.
