VODA worked with Midvale City staff and elected officials to develop a new housing plan for the growing city. As with other communities along the Wasatch Front, Midvale City has experienced high volumes of growth and demand for a wider variety of housing choices within the community.
VODA provided support to staff to develop longrange and short-term goals for housing policies for the city, as well as support for public outreach and information gathering.
The city’s new housing plan focuses on ‘neighborhoods of opportunity,’ using a more holistic approach to community growth and development to provide housing to support other opportunities for households as they change. Implementing new housing policies will support existing residents, as well as attract new residents to key areas of the city.
