VODA worked with South Salt Lake City staff to develop downtown urban design and streetscape standards for implementation as the downtown core develops. The design guidelines are intended to illustrate a coherent look and feel for the urban furnishings and streetscape elements of the downtown area, and to clarify city expectations of the development community.
In 2012, VODA assisted South Salt Lake City’s planning department in developing a landscape handbook to establish urban design principles for landscape elements in the city. This manual is distributed to developers and home owners seeking to meet the city’s standards, and applies to all future development in the city.
