VODA worked with MHTN to create revitalization plans for four of Taylorsville’s main commercial nodes. The Taylorsville project works in parallel with the City’s planning and economic development goals to consider how the areas could incorporate placemaking strategies to create four commercial centers with their own identities.
The plans include strategies for effective placemaking in the four unique areas that includes connectivity, land use, urban design, and phased implementation recommendations to encourage and plan for redevelopment of the aging commercial centers.
The plan looks at improving walkability and connectivity within and around the centers, and recommends the incorporation of a mix of use types to activate the areas.
