VODA was engaged by the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art to develop a master plan for an aging museum. Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, UMOCA was built in 1979, with minor updates to the building in the ensuing years.
VODA worked with the UMOCA board and local stakeholders to identify issues with visibility for the museum, as well as functional and structural upgrades to better equip the museum. The team developed urban design concepts, renderings, plans and a prioritized implementation plan for the museum.
